is a special meeting to vote on next year's officers and finalize
plans for the end-of-year BBQ....Please plan on attending after
school in our usual
room.
URGENT! We need MIHS host families for the international
festival on March 15,16,and 17. Please go to the document
section to download the application which is due on Feb. 21st.
This year the State Department also requires that all
families in the United States hosting exchange students, even for 1
night, must have a background check. We will process them as
high school volunteers and send the forms to the state patrol for
the background check. It is CRUCIAL that you fill this form
out for everyone in the family 18 and older and get it back to
Susie Brown in the Counseling Center asap. We can't place
guests with you without that clearance and we REALLY need host
families! THANKS!!
Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a restful and relaxing
break! Now we need to prepare for the big push towards
International Festival 2012! The new and revised guest and
host information is now ready. You will find it in the
"documents" section of this site. We have LOTS to
do. Please contact the officers for a list of things to be
done.
On another note, Maria will be doing a presentation on Brasil
at tomorrow's meeting. All are invited and we will be
discussing the committee work for the festival as well as this
month's outing to the Pan Africa Restaurant for our cooking
lesson!

We are hoping to go December 3rd so mark your calender
now! Space is limited and on a first come first serve
basis. Deadline for payment is November 4th.
