Each year I ask parents to come in to talk to us about how s/he uses math/science/or health in his/her everyday life. This can be anything from a ten minute presentation to a whole classroom lesson. We just want to hear it from you! Here are some examples: how you plan a budget, how you estimate costs for a remodel, landscaping, cooking, how you use mental math, your use of graphs, how to understand credit. We really do benefit from you sharing your real world experiences and it is a great way for the kids to get better acquainted with their community and future responsibilities.
